Failed her A’levels and now at a great university
Clara’s parents rang Forward when her A’level results had been disappointing – she had been ill during the preceding few months and was simply not up to speed when the exams came. Her Forward coach helped her work through the disappointment and mentored her through her retakes – which she juggled whilst working part time. Clara was then accepted at her first-choice university. However, whilst she was delighted to be back on track and joining her friends, (albeit one year behind), she found the early days in such a large environment, with lack of structure, a challenge and asked for mentoring for the first six months. She is now thriving and working towards a great degree in a subject she loves.
